Clearly not, but it all comes down to the major backer of the club. As long as Mr. Trailfinders is happy to pump money into the club and pick up the tab for the losses, then the club will continue to do well on the pitch. This has been mentioned many times on this forum before, so is not new news.

It should be pointed out that there are no signs of any changes to the funding being pumped into the club and from the smattering of conversations that I have had with ET fans, contingencies are in place should that funding be cut or disappear altogether.

I would be interested to know what the contingencies are?

1. Free fall through the leagues to find a sustainable level

2. Sell the land for housing and move to field next to M25

3. Find another Sugar Daddy?
Run with it

I lived there for a number of years before you jump on my back, Kempston and Wootton, I actually think with the right investment they are in prime territory to get the crowds built up to around the 8k territory and yes Goldington Road could benefit from development, so might need a year or two away at MK Dons.

Alternatively, and I know most Blues supporters are against this - sell the land for development and move out of town a bit to a custom built facility? But would it be the same playing Bedford without the slope?

We can't sell what we don't own.  So how many of those 'most supporters' did you canvass?
Of course there are fantastical plans on paper and in 'most supporters' heads to develop and improve GR.
We've just got to find the money tree!

Terminology error - I believe a housing development company offered to purchase the land from the "Trust" (not sure of the exact wording for this too" and develop you a ground outside of town. And this was mentioned by a number of folk when I have traveled down there over the last few years - not a canvass.
Onward and Upwards C'mon Donny!

I wish them well but Ealings current business model is only sustainable if their owner lives forever.

A tad harsh IMO Stadium their business model is probably at least as sustainable as Briz or any number of other clubs who look to benefactors to make up for the fact that regular supporters/fans contribute a tiny proportion of the cost of maintaining the team they follow at the level they are presently playing at. I have a huge regard for Pirates and wish them every success in the future when S4C becomes a reality but I sincerely hope they have a business plan which doesn't end in tears. Rugby desperately needs Pirates to succeed but I give huge credit to the people behind Ealing for what they have achieved and wish them well - although I still want Jersey to beat them next time they meet.
