Chinnor, don't know why anyone should be surprised by something they have been doing for a few seasons now. To have to borrow so early doesn't look good on their recruitment/ retention.

The situation with loan players is quite farcial . . .  LS lending a centre to Chinnor after one week of the season. Club loaning a player to Canterbury last week. Clubs should live and die by the squads they have. I am all against any loan or DR's, unless it is for an entire season. If that was the case it would stop Premiership, Championship and some Nat 1 Clubs stockpiling players . . that subsequently dont get enough rugby.

We could then get back to having strong 2nd XV's and even 3rds!!!!
Run with it

Oxbridge standard seems to be good Zoo League. They routinely lose to Richmond Vikings. I expect Horwill would like something more competitive.

I thought he was doing a management course at Cambridge and heading for a blue.
Of course Shanners is still coaching the Blues.
So he could have convinced him to turn out for club as well.

Matt Dudman isn't listed any more, so must have departed during the off-season. Marty Lithgo is once again in Mowden's squad and, with Euan McKirdy, is one of two scrum halves.

Just an update for you Fakey.
Matt Dudman is still a Mowden player, but will be out for a while due to injury.
Mowden have 4 scrum halves available this season.
Montgomery is a DR from the Falcons, together with others. (As well as having had a decent game in goal in the 1973 FA Cup Final. Still got it after a 46 year break !)

Just counted again - still got 40. Not that it matters much... I think including the coaching staff in an alphabetical list has muddied the water a bit.

You'd hope they'd have to loan some, otherwise as you say we're going to have some boredom issues potentially. Having said that, I can perm about 3 combinations out of them that I'd be happy to have as the starting XV so it's a nice problem to have for the first time in a few years.

Wanderer, there are 2 players in the Chinnor First team squad that have come through the ranks. Apparently there are plenty at University.........

Apart from the nameless three players apparently on loan from Ealing, more players seem to have joined Chinnor from Jersey ( three ) in the summer than from any other club.........
