or wrong - to be pedantic since only one of the above was actually a legitimate cricket score....

Part 2 for pedants corner is that (in a way) the doom mongers (whoever they were) turned out to be correct:

Richmond 22-7 Nottingham

Doncaster Knights 34-3 Richmond

Nottingham 20-8 Richmond

Richmond 8-19 Rotherham

PS on scanning all the GKIPA results this season to date, a total of 17 games resulted in 'legitimate' cricket scores .....meaning Richmond were involved in 23.5% of them.

I reported on twitter after our game at Irish that I thought I gone on to the Rotherham Town Cricket Club site in error.

It is not commonly known that a Yorkshireman invented the original cure for sea sickness.....they leant over the side of the boat with a five pound note in their mouth.

And your Richmond, Rotherham score would only be valid in the Southern Hemisphere.

You want some big scores.
Try these:

23rd March 1996
------------------
West Hartlepool 21 Harlequins 91

5th October 1996
-------------------
Coventry 102 Notts 22. (14 tries)

Newcastle 156 Rugby Lions 5. (24 tries)

Moseley 15 Richmond 87

16th May 1999
---------------
Bedford 12 Richmond 106

2nd October 1999
-------------------
Rotherham 93 West Hartlepool 8

6th October 2002
-------------------
Rotherham 102 Moseley 3.

Blimey! Now that is going some. I once had 3 in a week including 2 golden which won me the nickname of Mr. Duck, but 5, that is going above and beyond Pappashanga.

I was there that day. Absolute misery only tempered by hearing the Newcastle score on the way home. Got our own back a few years later I think but cannot find the archive for the score.

I was there too. I remember the search for a hammer and nail to extend the range of scores that the old tin numbers could be hung to represent from two digits to three.

In more recent times, I'm happy with a 8-73 win a fortnight ago at Old Albanian - Cov's best ever away win (both points scored and difference) in the leagues era. An away win cricket score win is doubly satisfying.

Lot of time for Cov.
Some cracking games with them in days gone by.

Hope they get back up

Lower down anything involving Manchester - e.g. 4 Sep 2009 National 1 Manchester 0 - 148 Esher
Manchester suffered 5 more tons against them that season and four more the following season.
