Two more tries for visitors in 2nd half, so it finished 3-38 to Falcons in the end. Very strong display by them, especially in the first half into the conditions

Similar story from Goldington Road. The new year has brought a far more organised and determined Blues side. Doncaster were never in the game and in normal conditions the score would have been far greater. A special word to the groundsmen, the playing surface was excellent in the circumstances.

The Falcons pack were really up there with the best and that awesome performance in the first half where they literally battered Jersey back towards their own line and then over it was total class. Jersey defence was exceptional in that first half but against the gale Falcons just battered the house down. The Falcons backs are probably just as good but the conditions today left them largely out of the game. Well played Jersey for effort and Falcons for power and class. Great banter with the visiting support have a cracking tour folks and remember your mates down here when you move to greater challenges next season.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

Spot on CC. I will say it now. That was the best team that I have seen against Jersey, in Jersey, in the league EVER.... bar none! The a Falcons were simply fantastic and a pleasure (if not slightly frustrating) to watch.
Jersey played really well but were totally outclassed.
Congratulations to the lads from the northeast. Jersey will only have easier games than that from now on.

I'll agree the best tight five performance I've seen. The starting Falcon's Tight Head had an immense match and then they brought on that Behemoth Rodney Ah-You - that fell into the unnecessary cruelty category in my book particularly when they had Mark Tampin available who looked in great shape anyway. I hate to think what it could have been like if Sam Lockwood had been fit. Jersey did really well to keep the score below 50 points and in my myopic view the two back rows were well matched - Max Argyle in particular had a great game and never took a backward step all day. Ealing will give Falcons a decent game but they are head and shoulders deservedly inked in for promotion.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

14-21 at Headingley, 2 tries to 3, with only one quarter played!
That's easy for you to say.

Make that 14-28, BP. Tackling optional, apparently.

Pirates were on fire in the first half, and for the first 10 mins of the second. But we failed to score, turned the ball over twice, conceded a few penalties and then a yellow card. It was very close at the end and Pirates just held out. Well played Nottingham.

That requirement down to 3 pts now Cherub - in fact it's 2 I think, as if you finished level on 42 pts and 8 wins each with YC you'd stay up on draws!

Thought Nottingham played very well in the second half and were unlucky not to win it actually. They had us going backwards for long periods and certainly had us in the set piece. I can relax now but that was not good for the nerves!!
