Ospreys              2

Cardiff                2

The biggest prize still to aim for is the right to host the fourth home quarter final. I hope everyone fields their best team and we see some quality rugby. Some decent fish and chips in Scarborough would also be good and a Taylor's Pork Pie in Darlington on the way.

Have to admire you CC, the gourmet considerations coming and going always get prominence. It’s important, I can always find a decent swallow, the knife and fork, or rather the fingers aren’t always so easy. 🥃🥃

Cheers OE I discovered 40 odd years ago the secret to surviving rugby tours involves turning out in every game and eating every meal however rough you feel after a surfeit of ale.

You don't want a happy hour on spirits at lunch time before a tour game.

I believe Munster 'A' have 17 points, so are virtually level with Donny (who are ahead courtesy of pts diff +55 to +47)

Correction Munster 'A' ahead of Donny on wins (4-3), forgot that one!

Interesting that CC, seems they need clock specialists in Wales.

Probably essential for the game at Llandovery OE. Not many trains run each day on the Heart of Wales line and the visiting team wouldn't want to get stuck overnight.

Thought the referees wore watches. Accurate ones too. Very curious. . Doesn’t explain Dragons v Exiles.

As for Llandovery, schedule game times to fit rail timetable. Yes, I know it’s round 6, but......alternatively the game ought to have been played elsewhere.

Ah well, last time out for us in this much maligned competition, thankfully. 🥃

Jersey squad to face YC tomorrow in a crucial final group game:

Backs (15-9)

Brendan Cope
Tom Pincus
Scott Van Breda (co-capt)
George Eastwell
Jason Worrall
Oli Bryant
Kieran Hardy

Forwards (1-8)

Roy Godfrey (co-capt)
Jack Macfarlane
Leeroy Atalifo
James Voss
Dave Mckern
Rory Bartle
Seb Nagle-Taylor
Jake Upfield

Replacements

Nick Selway, Jake Woolmore, Alec Clarey, Tom Quarrie, Conor Joyce; Tim Duchesne, Mark Best.

Quite a few changes for The Reds, some I am sure out of necessity, but again a massive front row with plenty of power sitting on the bench.

I wouldn't fancy being a back in this game, may be one for the gloves and extra layers of skins.

Stay safe boys, no more injuries please!!

Would not like to predict the Bedford - Nottingham match. Greatest respect to Nottingham, they always make us play hard and carry a real sting if we get it wrong. Great club, so looking forward to a cold and feisty encounter.

Inspection at Scarborough at 9.30 tomorrow. With low temperatures expected tonight and through the day I presume it's a frozen pitch they are worried about.
That's easy for you to say.

Shame if Scarborough can't host this game... especially as the Reds are already there!

I've just seen the strength of the Bristol squad for the dead rubber at Ashton Gate, which started 7 mins ago. I fear for Cardiff Blues - could be a point a minute job I reckon...

I'm sure they will be doing their best to get the game on. The Headingley ground staff will have been over with whatever portable protection they have, so I guess it's down to the ref in the morning. I suspect that the option of switching back to Headingley at short notice (which has happened a couple of times before) won't be available tomorrow given that the construction works have to be "sanitised" before each game at the moment.

Roth (4 tries) won 27-3 at Connacht
It is not commonly known that a Yorkshireman invented the original cure for sea sickness.....they leant over the side of the boat with a five pound note in their mouth.

I am positive both teams will want the game today and York seems the nearest alternative. I am hunting a Taylor's pie first thing and then train to Scarborough so grateful if someone from Jersey could send me a text if the venue changes.

Pirates v Hartpury called off according to both sides' Twitter. Imagine that may scupper plans to confirm QF pairings?!
