Ealing was doing a deal £12/game for all 3 of the cup matches. Happily, I went down to Richmond and paid nothing as a very nice Richmond support gave me an extra ticket just as I walked in! :)

Plan B at Jersey with 5 mauled tries and one break from their own 22 drop out but B for boring or not a great result which gives them a chance of a decent seeding if they follow the start to the pool matches up and make the knock out stages. B for brilliant effort by LS for actually making it against all odds and for competing for 80 minutes after a 4am start and horrendous travel delays. Safe and uneventful journey home lads I have no doubt the game will be much tighter at the RAG in December.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

I thought it was quite an entertaining match at the Stade (ticket price on the day £19 but if you booked in advance £15 or if you took the 'three-for-30' cup offer £10).

Yes, the Reds scored 5 mauled tries, but were enterprising throughout, tried some quick pens and lineouts but these moves didn't result in scores, other than an excellent score from a quickly-taken 22.

Agree it was a very difficult trip for LS. Some people may say they should have travelled the day before, but they'd have had travel difficulty yesterday as well - it's been foggy on and off since Thursday - and in the end I suppose they were glad to get in and out, only spending just over 3 hours at the club.

It's been a long time coming but we finally cut out a lot of the indiscipline and handling mistakes that have plagued us so far this season. Still some soft missed tackles at times but overall a lot more promising.

I think Yorkshire fancied the win today - certainly the most vocal team we've played this season.

In the circumstances of the travel disruption well done both teams today who will probably still make the knock out games.  Even with skiing gloves and hat I was COLD AND OLD but the rugby was committed and great quality imo. Still hoping Jersey make the knock out stages and get a home draw.

Agreed Rob. Still too many errors and ill discipline (and appalling box kicking), but isn't it good to see all seven tries run in by the back five?

Someone needs to tell Dean Richards that the team kicking off need to be behind the kicker not five yards in front. For such a trigger happy ref this was surprisingly lax.
Good match in spite of all the penalties - Mond did surprisingly well with only six first team regulars. Ealing very lively in the second half.
