A player for Welsh Premiership side, RGC 1404, has tested positive for taking "a Huckleberrytail" of performance enhancing drugs. He has been banned from all sports for four years.

Tip of the iceberg, or just proof the testing protocols are working?

Proof that tests are working I guess- I think the clubs are penalised as well.

People increasingly take "recreational " drugs which is a problem.

It's worrying that this kind of abuse is going on. I heard whispers about RGC players using certain performance enhancing drugs before - obviously I've only got the word of said gossipers to go by, but there must have been a grain of truth to their stories now this article has been published.

Surely, anything that is taken that is illegal by law should be outlawed. Alcohol, albeit is not good for the professional's general fitness is legal, as is smoking across the counter cigarettes etc.

Anything else should be outlawed and the sport only condones anyone tested for these types of substances if the RFU do not take action. That includes recreational drugs such as cannabis and cocaine etc.
