What? You don't think Cov will progress then?

I do hope Bedford take a few coachloads to help Leeds out with their gate.

I predict two home wins and two away wins.

rather negative Hoffee old chap isn't it? I know Pirates' haven't had a great record against the Reds of late, but what better time to put that right? And the alternatives? The top 2 in the current league table unlikely to be easy on their own patches. YC away is on paper the easiest option, but I don't see them staying in their current league position for long and new signings should be well integrated by start of Feb...

That would be my call . We owe Nottingham after the score at their place on a Friday night. All credit to them. Maybe we can reciprocate and play it on the Friday night ( 1st Feb )

The games will take place over the weekend of 1-3 February 2019 with the exact date and times to be confirmed by the clubs.

We need to take some supporters otherwise the Yorkshire gate only wouldn't pay to transport the Blues players to make the match! Wink

At least Coventry IF they lose will get a better gate cut.

Well it will be an achievement if you can get here without your bus breaking down.
That's easy for you to say.

Will we be on the road or at Headingley?  Think you've got a better chance winning at home rather than an away home game.

TBC but I would be surprised if it isn't at Headingley, tumbleweed factor notwithstanding. The Rhinos season kicks off that weekend but they have asked to play their first four games away, presumably to allow the north stand works to be completed.

The day is also not fixed yet. Sunday afternoon remains the default but they could go for Friday evening or maybe even Saturday, perhaps with an earlier start to accommodate the Ireland/England game at 4.45.

The new setup is worth a look. It's all concrete, of course, and the beer hasn't improved, but the pillars in the south stand have gone and you now have the option of sitting down without paying extra.

Its a 6 Nations weekend with games on Friday & Saturday so I would expect some of the home teams to opt for Sunday. Jersey have advised that they will announce the fixture soon and I would avoid committing travel plans until you have certainty on kick off time & date.

Sadly Kimbo, I think Irish might just get the squeeze on you. I would however rather see you guys in the semi finals but my spider sense seems to be saying Irish on this occasion.

Yes - £32 a head admission I hear!!!

Still, it'll be a good crowd, and we'll get our share.

Someone needs to tell Irish they are no longer in the premiership - £32 would be high even for that

Aw. LOL

Mind you, we're due a ridiculous away win against a top-end side at some point, so who knows?

Breath definitely not being held though Tongue. I don't think our draw could have been any tougher, but at least there'll be a few bob coming back to the BPA.

Do we know if there is any kind of prize fund for this cup, or is it the same malarkey as the B&I cup (Ealing's forever), where the RFU gets a cut of the gate for the Semis and Finals?

There is a prize fund defined in the regulations document.
£10k for reaching the quarter finals
£10k for reaching the semi-finals
£10k for reaching the final
£10k for winning the cup.

The regualtions for gate receipt splits were not defined at the time that they issued the document, but were to be communicated to the clubs prior to the first round.

Ealing should have got the same (4 x £10k) prize-money for last season, as per Nick's post above. Not sure about gate receipts in KO stages this season, as believe it may have changed from B&I... but I know away teams can claim travel exes
