Cambridge 24 Moseley 29 (87th minute try by Moseley) - Half Time 0-17

Great run out by the Cambridge youngsters, good example set by Foxxy and Rob Hurrell - Dan Legge ran out of legs after a 50 yard dash for the try line - or did he run out of self belief!!

Excellent game by YHITR and the backs - not as quick as I was of course............

Tyne 21 Melrose 31 - no details as I was 5,000 miles away but gather a few Tyne lads were on holiday. No game next week - Boroughmuir called off and prospective replacements Kendall thought the difference in class was too great, so a squad game is in prospect

London Scottish lost their opening pre-season match on Friday against the Scottish League Champion side Currie 34 – 13. However, they beat the current Scottish Cup winners Ayr 28 -22 yesterday.  Very early days, but the club allegedly took 50+ players north of the border, which led to many, inter changes being made throughout both matches. With the Scottish league campaign beginning next week, it was clear that both Scottish sides faced are well ahead in the pre-season preparations.

I'm only going on what is in the local paper, which isn't often ridiculously partisan - there are always two sides to a point of view and I prefer to think that there are other reasons involved. We've always got on well with Kendal
