Good win for Hoppers against Harrogate. 13 - 3 down at ht, it took an all round performance to take a five-point win. Connor Johnson superb. The young referee perhaps struggled at times but will improve, no doubt. Difficult to see Hoppers losing at the moment.

A very good exciting game at the Ferens Ground between Hull and Ilkley with a very capable Ilkley side going home with two bonus points.  Hull led 24-10 at the break and made it 31-10 two minutes after the restart.
Ilkley gave Hull plenty to think about in the second period to pull back to 31-25 and a very tense last 15 minutes caused anxious moments for both sides. 5 tries to 4 with Hull fully deserving their 5 points to move into third position and Ilkley more than worth their two points. Their losing streak must surely change, hopefully in two weeks time when they entertain Harrogate!!WinkWink

Nice summary, Yogi and an equally nice ( and accurate ) report on your website. Hope you like ours too.

Pristine Shorts,
Thank you for your comments and I enjoyed reading Sean Crannigan's report, he is an asset to your    club.  The first report on our website was from our web-master, a second one will appear from our press man. I am glad you thought our report was as fair as could be.

I believe the lymm boys are getting together for beers to watch the internationals next Saturday on their free weekend.
What do the likes of hoppers and hull do? Are they paid weekly or game by game?

Hull were due to play Bridlington in the quarter-final of the Yorkshire Cup but Brid have withdrawn.
We are now in the semi-final against either Driffield or Malton & Norton in February.
The Yorkshire Cup has been discussed on another thread but I will just say we are in  the semi having played only one game to get there.

No need to worry about togetherness in the Hoppers ranks. The team spirit I've observed is amongst the best I've ever seen at the club.

Hear hear! The team spirit also extends to the supporters as the players intermingle post-match. Great to belong!

Does our ex-prop Ryan Percival get much of a game?

Understand he is battling a calf injury that has kept him out for a while.

He was pencilled in to return last weekend but limped out of training when I was watching.

He looked useful in the early part of the season. I think he might well have been in line for a bench spot with the 1st XV.

Maybe Brid didn't want to kick off at 13:00?

What difference does 75 minutes make?
Just another example of how low the competition has sunk.
