On another tack how do we think that B Burn will fare in the Play Off and if they are successful will that affect the make up of N1W?

Both Burn & Scar were 26-19-1-6-100 so it's equal stevens there. TBH, I wasn't overly impressed with burn, we pushed em all the way. They have players capable of winning, but IMHO, if they went up they'd struggle...but I'm sure a few more £££'s would maybe sort that. Same applies for Carlisle.

agree w.r.t. Blackburn.
We've had a woeful season (albeit with some notable bright patches) but beat them at our place.
And again, Carlisle who were run away leaders for most of the season but allowed us to score 38 points (36 - 35 up there and 33 - 36 at our place).

Next season will be tough for Blackburn (if they go up) and for Carlisle unless they can recruit.

When we ( Ilkley ) were promoted from N1E to N3N at the end of the 14/15 we had 21 wins and 105 points, just pipping Sheffield. We also had a two-season unbeaten home record....

.... our first match in the higher league saw us lose at home 0-65 to Sheffield Tigers - a bit of a wake-up call to say the least. Happily, we consolidated and beat them at their place 27-28 in the last match of the season.

It's certainly a big step for Blackburn or Scarborough, as both Vale of Lune and Wilmslow found this season : Alnwick on the other hand did well to finish 9th, just one place below us.

Think anyone who is promoted to the Northern premier
is going to find it tough going, Morpeth had just won 14 on
the trot in NE1 and then had a cup final against Alnwick and lost
39-3 !
