MB, I make it 20 teams in the ADM Lancashire Leagues and 25 Lancashire teams in the RFU leagues at Level 6 and below, discount Level 6 and its 18 teams. Thats a very slim minority !

MB, What Quantifies sucess ?

At the Lancashire meeting last night, there were 28 clubs represented, 16 of these play in the ADM Lancashire Leagues.

The 16 ADM clubs present were asked to raise their hands, then asked to leave their hands up if they were rejoining the RFU leagues next season. All hands went down.

I understand there are already 3 furthe applications to join.

Copy of email from Mark Downs to Jim Chapman forwarded to all Lancashire Clubs.:-
================================================
Hi Jim,

Just an update on our follow up meeting last night at Wigan and the feeling of the clubs,

28 attended (16 ADM League clubs included), 17 were no shows, all Level 6 and below and 1st teams in NOWIRUL were invited. Obviously I can’t comment on the no shows thoughts.

The clubs were dismayed that our proposal from the last meeting for 3 Lancashire leagues had been disregarded and was not an option.

A vote for no change / status quo was not an option (as per your email), which some clubs had intended to vote.

Unhappy that only option Y had the ADM clubs in with no indication of how they would be placed in option X.

Level 6 clubs present (4 in total) strongly against option Y with possible increased cross border travel.

Both Options X & Y were not acceptable.

Several clubs strongly supportive of staying within RFU structure.

All ADM clubs present agreed they would be staying out of the RFU structure next season. (3 more applications received currently prior to last night).

Huge result for Loo yesterday at Burnage aided by a Warrington draw & Manchester losing, one win off mid table.

Fair play LF but some tricky games to come for everyone in relegation mix. Still a few surprises to come I suspect.

Broughton Park's unbeaten run came to an end yesterday but they still retain their 10 point gap to the relegation place and the 6th position. However, it could all come tumbling down with a couple of losses.

As you say, some tricky games.

Burnage need two wins, DLS could/should be one, but I can't see another. Yesterday could have sealed their fate.

Penrith have only won 1 game away this season, at Anselmians, so the Penrith game may be another and if Br Park have made a horlicks of their last few games, it could all come down to the last game of the season at Varley Park. Br Park have only beaten Burnage once in the last few meetings.

It was obviously going to be a tough day, yesterday, but seeing 6 1st XV regulars on the beer ready for the Olds Biys Lunch made for desperate news.
The game must have been thrilling for an neutral in attendance and even the 'Loo faithful must admit to some nervous moments.

'Loo, significantly better on the day and were on top for most of the game - congratulations on a great performance.

As our President said, we need to find some big forwards.
Looking at the line-outs you my have suspected it was a junior side against adults. Not a single Burnage forward above 6' tall.

We sincerely hope that we can get a result at De La Salle, Penrith at home might be "do-able".
We daren't leave it to the last weekend, hoping for a favour from our neighbours.

Well, I think that I would prefer to travel to Burnage rather than Penrith but I'm not sure that our players would deliberately hold back to make that happen. Big smile

Confirmation now come to light that Jim has been telling regions different stories.
Yorkshire have been told status quo is an option.

Regarding L7, there is nothing to sort out East of the Pennines.

No easy task resolving the problem but to go about it the way they have is more than careless.

1 from 6 imo, think BP have two winnable games, possibly three. I think Burnage are struggling but the Loo/port/manc triangular is key, all to play each other & the loser could be in trouble. Bonus points could be the difference.

Tell me about it. If Br P had got a decent number of bonus points they would be out of sight with no worries. 3rd lowest number of bonus points in the league.

Points against best in the league, defensively promotion candidates. Points for 3rd worst in the league, attacking performance, relegation candidates.

So Burnage had 6 players who’d normally be playing sat drinking whilst their team lost?

Yes, various knee, arm, hand and rib injuries. Experienced, old hands, who might well have made a difference.

Interesting minutes from Lancashire been produced.

I don’t think they quite understand the concept of conflicts of interest
