Ok, I may have exaggerated slightly, but at least we agree.

Where has that come from? Lewis (Bean) has just told us he has no intention of leaving.

Agree you can't believe anything until either club confirms.

Looks like it will be quiet on the Cov front, some will be pleased to know. Next season's arrivals aren't being announced until the end of the current campaign.
I guess we will still hear about retentions 😊

Cambridge director of rugby Ross Stewart to leave club at the end of the season.

The space Stewart leaves will be filled current performance director for the Hungarian national team Richie Williams.

“I talked to Rob Dean [club chairman] and a few people at the club – they had five or six in mind but I was offered it.

“I’m going to go down the club and meet everyone and get everything signed, but it was quite flattering to be asked and it all happened pretty quickly but I’m really excited.”

And Dean thanked Stewart for developing the current squad – a lot of who didn’t have experience at the level when promoted – to the point where they are beating the likes of Plymouth Albion.

Mark Taylor's article in the Cambridge Independent is certainly more informative than the "wham-bam-thank you ma'am" from the Cambridge News.

When it comes to training facilities, the new clubhouse extension should be available for Saturday's match. It says much more than a change in the coaching team. The players deserve no less. How much easier therefore for Richie Williams to make his mark.
Take a look FHLH, you can only be impressed. Ampthill hopefully have the first pleasure of this new experience.

Does it mean that visiting teams will be able to change on the premises again, rather than over the road and across the fields?

The facilities over the road were far better than changing in the containers as they were cold damp and poorly lit. Quite a few of our players decided to get changed and shower at home such was the temperature when we visited last season. The distance across the field was no worse than Blaydon but far more luxurious

No more containers and no more need to rely on neighbours.
Brand new changing rooms for home and away teams - and of course for everyone on Sundays.
The containers served a purpose - but it was definitely time for them to go.

And this is a new signing or a retention?

Just a bit off-topic?
