Flirting with the relegation spots can sometimes cause a knee-jerk reaction. Or maybe they just need a freshen-up after so many years.

Need for change after 3 seasons of hovering around the bottom 3. It's going to be difficult to avoid relegation from here and it's more honest to look for a new DoR without the current one in place.

Shame Ricky was a decent guy, I think this not helped by history and funds to compete for players in a very competitive and often over priced market

Maybe the board thought there was an issue with training, meaning the on field performance was below expectations. In situations like that, the DoR would be the one to take responsibility and carry the can for shortcomings.

The team on Saturday looked bereft of attacking ideas and confidence against Mowden, so maybe that loss was the last straw and they thought a change in the top would benefit the players and decrease the chances of relegation. I was astonished when they kicked the ball out when time was up and appeared to be happy with the losing bonus point rather than playing for a converted try to tie the scores.

Sometimes a point guaranteed is better than the speculation for 2 or lose possession and end up with zero

The big issue this season has been our failure to earn bonus points. Last season we gained as many as Coventry did, they got promoted and we avoided relegation. We will be seeking new ideas to enable us to bounce back from N2S. The money was there, albeit within the salary cap but our signings haven't all lived up to expectations this season.

Yes.............BONUS POINTS, Bham Mose are very grateful for their 18(?) which have kept them in touch with safety and you have to generally go as far as 6th in the table to find higher, though Students had 19 as of last week.   Funding is a big issue for BMRC too and I think the rumours about some of the top teams being well financed ensure we can only look up and on in envy. I've no idea why a City the size of Bham cannot attract the £ but we do have a Director group that, I believe,  along with the fans, desire to keep the Club solvent (in some way) and playing rugby at whatever level. Whether this augers well or whether we should just allow some "rich" group take us over  and allow the rugby essence of the Club to whither and towards  extinction would not be the best for the rugby Club.

So  a  finale of high tension awaits many of the N1. Lets see how it goes.

Sheffield Tigers sign George Bretag-Norris from Cambridge RFC for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 season. I don't know much about George and would be interested to hear the thoughts of those who do.

I understand that he is Austrian. Will he be available during the 6 nations blocks or will he be playing in Tier E against the likes of Andorra/the Vatican/Belgium? Thank you for your responses.

Is there any money left at Cambridge? You’ll be known as the Blood and only thing we own is Sand soon - Mike Aytron signs with Titans (just saw on website). Presumably the two are moving up together?

Warren Seals reported to be on near a 6 figure salary at DMP so hardly surprising that he has decided to stay

You are deluded my friend!! He has his own business in Darlington and his own home. You should really check your information source, and get it right before you make yourself look foolish.
