Just 30 predictions submitted above. Half the total of recent years. Could the problem be the bizarre nature of the league and games this season - all clubs shy of promotion and a form book full of under achievers? Just three 4 try bonuses today. An average of 4 tries a game in December, one every quarter.
As to the quality of the games, some have been said to excite and entertain. However such positives seem to be the exception. I for one am fast becoming disenchanted. Ampthill v Chinnor today is how it should be every week. Why not?
All coaches please on red alert. Attack, attack, attack.
So nominations please below for the best game and best team so far this season - who, why and when.
Please share the video if possible.

It probably has a lot more to do with not seeing a predictions league table promptly after the weekends.

Well I have a different view. It’s all down to the availability off match dvds. On the most part all DORs/coaches will have their next opponents latest match footage by tomorrow morning and will start planning defence/attack so bytraining on Tuesday the plan will be formulated and put into place whereas a couple of years ago it was not available if at all until the latter part of the week.
That said I watched a terrific low scoring brutally hard game at OEs today with neither team taking a backward step with excellent ball retention and defence in equal measures so it’s whether you equate high scoring with good match and low scoring is certainly more tense.

Thanks for the contributions so far. Football that delivers poor performances after week empties the terraces. To win a tight evenly balanced game is a bonus for travelling supporters. Whether losing at home narrowly or winning by the odd try out of many, delivers excitement and entertainment. In marked contrast a half time turn around 9-6, 3 penalties to 2 encourages a longer stay in the bar or a longer queue for a hot cuppa. It does not deliver better gates week on week.
The season's best to all predictor/supporters from Bullwhip Griffen and myself. Do what you can to avoid both relegation and promotion in 2019

Many have already commented that N1 is completely open this year. Personally I think the winner will come from the current top six. I would say Ampthill are probably the best team I’ve seen so far this season and I would make them a very very slight favourite to grab the title.

At OEs yesterday the home side was up by only 3-0 at the half watched by a club record crowd of 1770. (As reported in the Rugby Paper even though the official capacity is 1600) A completely correct first half sending off of an OEs prop made for an even competitive match eventually won by one point by the visitors. Very few spectators left pitchside at half time!

A thoroughly absorbing game yesterday between OE's and Blackheath.  At the end OE's looked stronger with 14 players (which they had been down to from midway through the first half).  Both defences were excellent.  Really good game.

I agree this was an enthralling game and very positive to see so many in attendance. The OEs Head Coach has said but for the red card which I think was in the 33rd minute, OEs would have won comfortably again. That of course is all speculation and there can be no argument that the red card was a correct decision. At all events you don’t need lots of points for a compelling game. Plus I bet the OEs Treasurer wishes Blackheath were the visitors every fortnight!
