BRENTWOOD 4-1 Tring- Visitors not the same team on travels and Wood deserve a change of luck
GUILDFORD 4-1 Bedford Athletic- I heard that some of Aths team dont travel so they are weakened away, and G's will need to stop the rot as their form has dropped away. Injuries to key players?
HERTFORD 4-1 Sidcup- Herts strong at home, but Cup are a decent outfit. Close low scoring match.
Shelford 1-5 CHINGFORD-Chingford a good team when discipline controlled. Could be better if they trained an extra day like the rest of this league, who all have City workers.!!
Sutton & Epsom 1-5 WIMBLEDON-Big derby game but Sutts will not cope with leaders despite 3rd place.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS 5-1 Dorking- A rare call against my own club. Spirits will need to be high.
WESTCLIFF 5-0 CS Stags 1863- Cliff strong at home and will push leaders all the way

It is still so difficult to call this league as there are no certainties. The loss of key influential players to all teams I suspect is a major influence on some of the results we are seeing. Comparable replacements are rare, and recovery time seems to be getting longer. Hoping for an injury free weekend for all.

Guildford 4-1 Bedford Athletic BA picking it up, but Guildford will want to get back on track
Hertford 5-1 Sidcup Hertford back to their more usual selves
Shelford 1-5 Chingford Still cant bring myself to back Shelford
Sutton & Epsom 0-5 Wimbledon Dons too good for S&Es
Tunbridge Wells 1-4 Dorking Tough choice could go either way
Westcliff 5-0 CS Stags 1863 Possibly a bad time to play Westcliff

Gutted that my predictions didn't go through last week...not that it would've made much of a difference! Was surprised to see the Tring score so high (can anyone elaborate on the game?) and both the Westcliff and RTW results. In terms of the Cup, it was a fantastic game for the neutral with some cracking scores. We were ultimately undone by the Dons potent maul and powerful scrum - although I wasn't completely blown away by them, they were a very large, well drilled side, and theres no doubt in my mind they will be in the top 2 this year. Was also surprised/disappointed at the drastic lack of support for the Wombles, by far the lowest attendance of any of the teams we've visited so far, it seemed there were more subs than Home fans.

Should have been boring and gone for a Guinness. The IPA didn't offer anything. 3/10.

Brentwood 1-5 Tring - Tring to kick on from last week
Guildford 1-4 Bedford Athletic - Two very similar sides in terms of playing style, i'm just edging towards the Ath but it will be tight
Hertford 0-5 Sidcup - Massive task ahead. Can't wait for this one, my favourite away trip of the year last season, when the terracé gets rocking it the best atmosphere in the league IMO.
Shelford 0-5 Chingford - Shelford seem to be resigned to relegation
Sutton & Epsom 1-5 Wimbledon Dons too big and strong upfront for S&E on this occasion
Tunbridge Wells 1-4 Dorking Really surprised by RTW this season, I was impressed by Dorking.
Westcliff 5-1 CS Stags 1863 Stags to face the backlash now Cliff are back in their Essex fortress

Only one home win - probably too bold but who knows!

Best,
DD

Had a bad couple of weeks due to surprise results (to me anyway Wink. So going to go big or go home

Brentwood -v- Tring 4-1 Brentwood to shock Tring close at home
Guildford -v- Bedford Athletic 4-0 Gs to hold on at home
Hertford -v- Sidcup 4-1 Hertford seem strong at home
Shelford -v- Chingford 4-1 Close game between 2 weak teams but I sense a shock
Sutton & Epsom -v- Wimbledon 4-1 Heart over head says S&E will rattle Wimbledon
Tunbridge Wells -v- Dorking 0-4 Dorking to win comfortably but no BP
Westcliff -v- CS Stags 1863 5-0 Westcliff go through the gears in reaction to last week's surprise defeat
What was wrong with calling it London 1?

Oh dear, just when I thought we were back on track : Combe beat Medway well  one week,  then crash and burn against Camberley the next!

Brentwood -v- Tring   0- 5   Tring will not need a toboggan to enjoy themselves on this slope.
Guildford -v- Bedford Athletic  1-4  Can Bedford show maybe   it   wasn't  just a flash in the pan ?
Hertford -v- Sidcup   1-4  A nice little  curtain raiser for the Wilder - Fury contest without quite the same civility amongst the fans.
Shelford -v- Chingford 0-5   Not going to be Shelford's  day yet,  or at all, I suspect,
Sutton & Epsom -v- Wimbledon  1-4 . A home win not impossible here but unlikely.....
Tunbridge Wells -v- Dorking  4-1  ....and there has to be one at least so I'll go for this one.....
Westcliff -v- CS Stags 1863  1-4 ....because I think there may just be a chance  of another upset  and further Westcliff disappointment here!

Another interesting week. I'll heading over to T Wells as as TJs are away. It's a massive game. TWs win, they overtake Dorking and stay on the heels of CUUUUPPP. If Dorking can win, they put a bit of daylight between them at the lower end of the table, as well as keep up the pressure on CUUUPPPP themselves.

Brentwood 1-v-4 Tring - Going for Tring to use their league experience to grind this out.

Guildford 4-v-1 Bedford Athletic - BA aren't good travelers. G's confident at home.

Hertford 5-v-1 Sidcup - Sidcup blowing hot and cold. Herts on a run and strong at home.

Shelford 4-v-1 Chingford - I think Shelford are better than Chingford.

Sutton & Epsom 0-v-5 Wimbledon - Only going one way I think.

Tunbridge Wells 4-v-1 Dorking - Massive game. Both inconsistent, the wetter conditions may suit Dorking more but I've got to back the team from my own county!

Westcliff 5-v-2 CS Stags 1863 - may not be as cut and dry as people think. CS to push hard.

Brentwood v Tring 0- 4 Tring going pretty well and to continue
Guildford v Bedford 4-1 difficult to predict
Hertford v Sidcup 4-0 I don't rate Sidcup as highly as some do
Shelford v Chingford 1 - 4 Chingford stronger than Shelford
Sutton v Wimbledon 1-4 Pretty close contest
TW v Dorking 1-4 Dorking stronger than TW
Westcliff v Stags 4-2 Stags backs in the mood for scoring but will the weather oblige

Having reviewed all the team sheets, looked at the weather forecasts, its still a lottery on picking some of the fixtures.
Brentwood 1 v Tring 4, weather and slope to influence this game, tring to grind out result
G's 1 v Bedord 4, G's really stuggled with injuries last week, not sure if their physio's have managed to get some of the table.
Hertford 5 v Sidcup 1, Hertford finding form and at home.
Shelford 0 v Chingford 4, a loosing run is difficult to stop, needs hard work and one night training is not hard work
SandE 1 v Wombles 4, Wombles to leeave the common and clean up at SandE
Tw/RTW/TUNBRIDGE 1 v Do4rking 4, battle of the mid table, topsy turvey sides, going with form from last week
Westcliff 5 v Brexiteers 2, high scoring affair, Westcliff home grown to shine again

Good luck to all, injury free, and keep dry and warm

Post note

Chingford with only one night training will be still to strong for Shelford

Hang on, that's taking it a bit seriously. You don't toss a coin like the rest of us then?

This training thing is becoming a big talking point. I personally don’t think training makes a big impact on the play in this league unless it isn’t it perhaps really top class.

Some interesting results today. Does anybody actually want to get promoted?

Well having just watched 2 teams batter each other for an hour and a half, they could still be playing and I don't think anyone would have scored, I would say the 2nd session must help build fitness and stamina over the long term.
