Aside from anyone playing Shelford (no offence to Shelford) there are no certain wins in this league and with a lot of sides in the mid table melee,  if results go your way you can go up by 3 or 4 places overnight so hard to pick true strength of clubs aside from top couple
Brentwood 1-5 Wimbledon
Brentwood have 3 TSB and 2 LB so I expect  them to get at least a point
Guildford 2-5 S&E
Just a hunch
Hertford 5-0 Chingford
Hertford too strong at home but expect Chingford to improve as grounds get heavier
Shelford 0-5 Bedford Athletic
Think Bedford's win last time out shows they are better than their league placing
Sidcup 4-1 Dorking
Not much in this, just depends which Dorking turn up
Tunbridge Wells 5-0 CS
Similar records so going with home advantage
Westcliff 5-1 Tring
2nd v 4th and should be a humdinger but Westcliff to prevail at home

Not much commentary on this forum anymore ... with the league so interesting i thought there would be.

Brentwood 1 - 5 Wimbledon Think Brentwood will be good for a BP, i do think Wimbledon are very beatable but not today.
Guildford 4 - 1 Sutton & Epsom People keep writing off Guildford yet they still lay 3rd on the table.
Hertford 5 - 0 Chingford Hertford seem to have their mojo back.
Shelford 2 - 5 Bedford Athletic Think Shelford will come as close as ever but still no win for them sadly.
Sidcup 1 - 4 Dorking Flip of a coin, really not sure. Sidcup did the double last year, Dorking may want to make amends.
Tunbridge Wells 5-1 Civil Service Again really not sure, TWs have been inconsistent but think they may edge it.
Westcliff 5-1 Tring Westcliff to continue to push Wimbledon, would be great to see them in Nat 2!!

DD, you mentioned the Kent cup and some 2s players playing. I wonder what the standard is in the competition and what players turn out for each of the many strong clubs in the county? Is it mainly 1st team players or 2nd team players? Do some clubs take it more seriously than others?

In Essex there are many walkovers and often you may have to only win 2 or maybe even just 1 game. Some clubs put out 1st teams, others don’t play any 1st team players.

As for this week

Brentwood 0 - 5 Wimbledon
Guildford 4 - 2 Sutton & Epsom
Hertford 5 - 0 Chingford
Shelford 0 - 5 Bedford Athletic
Sidcup 1 - 4 Dorking
Tunbridge Wells 4 - 1 Civil Service

Brentwood 5 v 0 Wimbledon As long as the Dons keep to their simlpe but effective game plan
Guildford 5v 1 Sutton & Epsom Home advantage for Stockbrokers the difference ( plus the cash !)
Hertford 5 v 0 Chingford I expect Chingford to make a fight of it !!
Shelford 0 v 5 Bedford Athletic Bedford improving
Sidcup 4 v 0 Dorking Looking at the teamsheets Dorking missing some key play makers so Onwards for Cup
Tunbridge Wells 4 v 1 CS Stags 1863 Not sure about this although CS can only improve with the removal of their verbose coach
Westcliff 4 v 1 Tring Tring forwards might prove me wrong as Westcliffe might feel loss of tight forward

Guildford 1v5 Sutton & Epsom S&E to win. Bang average Guildford looking not to good

Perhaps you wish to shed light on your interesting reasoning.

With 3rd place being bang average and not looking too good, what does that leave 5th place looking?  Below average and looking terrible?

What a ridiculous response to ask when the last time Guildford beat Sidcup...what's that got to do with the price of eggs? Quite a childish response if anything.

Seems to be a lot of people wishing on the downfall of Guildford, and not quite sure why.

For a team that survived the relegation last year on bonus points, to be doing as well as they are this year, is quite some feat.

So pipe down.

TBH I would like to see every team in this division achieve the success of promotion to L4N2S. Then they can taste it, feel it, endure it and in most cases return to where they came from. Success makes people happy and there is nothing wrong with striving for success. Unless you are an OE,s with the Bank of England (metaphorically speaking) behind you then your dreams will be short lived. You could end up as one of those 'on the cusp' but go for it, enjoy it and taste the wine.

Brentwood -v- Wimbledon        0-4  Not as emphatic perhaps as many are expecting
Guildford -v- Sutton & Epsom    4-1   Money men  to scrape home again
Hertford -v- Chingford                4-1  Could be the usual Hertford dust-up . What did their " innocent" man sent off at Tring get incidentally ?
Shelford -v- Bedford Athletic       0-5  Another bright day for Bedford
Sidcup -v- Dorking                     4-0  It would be a bit rich if Dorking were  ever to moan about spectator behaviour!
Tunbridge Wells -v- CS Stags 1863  1-4  I suspect both sides have their attributes and  this ought to be entertaining at least.
Westcliff -v- Tring                         4-1  Another ding-dong played out in front of a vociferous balcony.

Brentwood -v- Wimbledon 1-5 Feel like this will be close til last 10
Guildford -v- Sutton & Epsom 0-5 Great Surrey battle and I'm excited for someone to put Guildford back in their box so they can start their demise to their rightful place at the foot of the table.
Hertford -v- Chingford 5-0 should be an easy win against the biggest moaners in the league
Shelford -v- Bedford Athletic 1-4 First point I've awarded Shelford in this clash of the bottomfeeders!
Sidcup -v- Dorking 5-2 Feel like these two play very similar styles and was at both fixtures last year and Sidcup have put together some powerful results of late.
Tunbridge Wells -v- CS Stags 1863 5-1 CS to capitalize on T Wells soft D for a LBP but home advantage on the mudbath to prove decisive
Westcliff -v- Tring 5-1 Feel like Tring are overachieving and Westcliff have a dominant scrum that has been Tring's undoing so far this season.
