Tring are by far the best team i've seen at Sutton this season and providing they play with the same commitment next week i cannot see Wimbledon getting anything up there, Sutton still only need a point away at Bedford to win the league but Bedford are now looking formidable on the plastic so it will go down to the wire with Westcliff still in with a chance to nick the automatic promotion spot.

Rumour has it that the Tring lads are all away at a Stag this coming weekend...

That would be very disappointing if true, their 6 and 10 were exceptional yesterday.

The Tring 10 has been the best player in the league for years, and I don't think anyone at Hertford would disagree (much as it might pain us).

Funny game yesterday. For 30 odd minutes Wimbledon were, frankly, rubbish. It was almost like they had never met each other before. Then they woke up and scored 31 unanswered points, a bit reminiscent of Guernsey a couple of years ago. Hertford fought back well to get to 31-33 but then got over excited.

Wimbledon cheat very well (that is a compliment by the way) at the breakdown, were prone to some histrionics, but if they go up, I have a feeling we will see them again in a couple of years.

If Tring have a proper 1st team out, it will be quite some game.

The great thing about the last game of the season will be what is actually needed? Surely Westcliff start off thinking they need 5 points so turn down shots at goal in order to get the tries? Do Wimbledon have to think the same so do they turn down 3 points in what could be a close game risking a loss for the 5 points?

Assuming one or both get the 5 points that means S&E need a point from somewhere. They must be favourites to win but will it be a high scoring shoot out like Brentwood or a close low scorer like Westcliff? I guess either way S&E will fancy their chances of at least a point.

I agree, although one would assume S&E would be playing for the win - they wouldn't care how they achieved it as long as they win....
For the other two teams, in my experience, playing for 5 points has sometimes spectacularly back fired..ultimately resulting in zero points....they both must focus on win first and if an option go for the bonus point...
I still think there are going to be a surprise or two as all three opponents having nothing left to play for other than pride and at home....so will be a case of who turns up as usually (as we have all seen) its because the players lack motivation....start the game well but as soon as they fall behind on the scoreboard they switch off...
