    Posted: 03 Dec 2018 at 21:00
I watched the Hertford v Sidcup game on Saturday, I agree with previous posts about the match, Hertford defense impressive, Sidcup made a mess of a lot of chances, including dropping the ball having crossed the line.
Another tough week to predict, in the 3 seasons I have been doing this, I have never seen a 'Nil Point', top scorer last week, not so good this week!
Many congratulations to Fez Ant Plucker, top scoring this week with 21 points.

Please make your Week 13 predictions below.

Bedford Athletic -v- Brentwood 4-1 BA to grind a result on their plastic.
Chingford -v- Westcliff 0-5 Don’t see Chingford getting anything out of this game.
CS Stags 1863 -v- Guildford 5-0 Disappointed to see CS blow up so badly last weekend and with that in mind I am going to change my prediction as the petulant ‘GuildfordBlue’ doesn’t seem to be able to communicate other than in a footballing mentality! Can’t wait for Sat 5th Jan 2019.
Dorking -v- Shelford 5-0 Surprised again at Dorking not turning up last weekend, but this surely can’t be the week Shelford break their duck!
Sidcup -v- Tunbridge Wells 4-1 Sidcup will want to put in a big performance against TW and I don’t think they are going to disappoint.
Tring -v- Sutton & Epsom 1-4 Got to go with S&E with their top performance last weekend against the Dons. Yes I know how strong Tring are at home but to throw a game like they did last weekend I think they will be questioning themselves.
Wimbledon -v- Hertford 1-4 Hertford to carry on winning though the Dons will throw the kitchen sink at it!

Bedford Athletic 5-2 Brentwood If it’s true about Bedford players not travelling I’d expect a win here with full strength?
Chingford 4-1 Westcliff Essex Derby, Chingford are tough at home. This result to put a dent in Westcliff promotion hopes
CS 4-0 Guildford CS been quiet of late, backing a hard fought win here.
Dorking 5-0 Shelford It’s a banker
Sidcup 5-0 Tunbridge Wells Sidcup strong at home and T Wells a mixed bag
Tring 5-0 S&E I hope I’m proven wrong yet again, however I don’t see Tring losing at home.
Wimbledon 5-0 Hertford Surely the pendulum will swing into full flow this week

Bedford Athletic -v- Brentwood      5-2    Bedford to put Brentwood into the relegation mix.
Chingford -v- Westcliff                    0-5     Westcliff to ease through this one comfortably.
CS Stags 1863 -v- Guildford            1-5    Comfortable outing for Guildford too.
Dorking -v- Shelford                         5-0    Is the weekly grind starting to get to Dorking I wonder. Either way, should be winners here.
Sidcup -v- Tunbridge Wells              5-1    Entirely dependent which TW side turns up.
Tring -v- Sutton & Epsom                4-1     Are S&E the real deal? Beaten the top 2 but Tring at home is a different sort of test.
Wimbledon -v- Hertford                   1-4    Expect it to be a home blow out or a very tight away win. Naturally I'm going for the away win.

Chingford -v- Westcliff  0-5 cant see this any other way
CS Stags 1863 -v- Guildford 1-4 purely based on league standings
Dorking -v- Shelford 5-0 surely a banker for the coqs
Sidcup -v- Tunbridge Wells 1-4 battle for the mid table accolades
Tring -v- Sutton & Epsom 2-5 tight battle
Wimbledon -v- Hertford 4-1 Dons have to put a marker down or could slip a few places overnight

Bedford 5 - 2 Brentwood High scoring, bedfords stay homers to be the difference
Chingford 0 - 5 Westcliff Top is becoming interesting, Westcliff in Nat 2 would be interesting
CS Stags 4 - 1 Guildford Could go either way, changed my mind multiple times
Dorking 5-0 Shelford Dorking have a few injury returnees possibly
Sidcup 4-1 Tunbridge Wells Think Sidcup too good on their cabbage patch
Tring 5 - 1 S&E Sorry Sutton but Tring is a hard place to go
Wimbledon 5 - 1 Hertford Dons need to get back on track, so much for them walking it!

Bedford Athletic 5 v 0 Brentwood. Bedford to take advantage on the plastic.
Chingford 0 v 5 Westcliff. Westcliff back on song and too good for Chingford.
CS Stags 1863 4 v 1 Guildford. Must win for the Stags against an out of form Gs.
Dorking 5 v 0 Shelford. Dorking to win at a canter.
Sidcup 5 v 1 Tunbridge Wells. Sidcup pack to grind out a high scoring win.
Tring 1 v 4 Sutton & Epsom. Could go either way, Tring almost unbeatable at home but Sutton very well organised last week.
Wimbledon 1 v 4  Hertford. Hertford on a roll to nick a low scoring match.

Bedford 5 - 1 Brentwood I think Bedford on the plastic, both teams could really do with the win though.
Chingford 1 - 5 Westcliff Westcliff at a canter, Chingford to dog out a bonus point though.
CS Stags 1 - 5 Guildford We are starting to get some of the injured players back, should be at near full strength.
Dorking 5-0 Shelford Will be the highest score of the day, I will also be surprised if Shelf get on the scoreboard.
Sidcup 1-4 Tunbridge Wells Hoping the better of the TW teams turns up for this one.
Tring 2 - 5 S&E  Tring unbeaten at home in 20+ games... but all records come to and end.  We underestimated S&E, at our peril.
Wimbledon 5 - 1 Hertford Home adv, and Dons to get a much needed win.  Hertford one of the in form teams though with 5 on the trot I think..

Good luck to all bar Sidcup.  2 games until the Xmas break, anyone know when the league will take any shape??? LOL

Bedford Athletic - Brentwood   4-1 A tight encounter being won by a few points
Chingford - Westcliff   0-5  Chings to struggle with their whining players
CS Stags - Guildford   2-2  Think this is going to be a rubbish game by two mediocre sides
Dorking - Shelford   5-0 The second best Surrey side in the league (behind Wimbledon DEFINITELY not Guildford)to prove their dominance again!
Sidcup - Tunbridge Wells  4-1 Always a tight affair with T Wells pulling out their best performances for Sidcup
Tring - S&E 2-5 One of the toughest places to go but S&E being weirdly good (I still believe Dorking to be above S&E in my Surrey rankings will elaborate at the bottom)
Wimbledon - Hertford 5-1 a game of big men... Hertford look good but the Dons need a performance pre xmas!

I've taken a leaf out of DD's guide to Rolling Maul and will start my own power rankings of my fair County... Surrey. With 4 clubs representing the County and none in the relegation zone one would hope that at least some of these boys would represent us in the County Championship this May. So here goes:

I) Wimbledon start this at top spot as their league position and dominant performances to start the season.
ii) S&E sneak into second after a string of strong results (as mentioned before I maintain Dorking to be the rightful second placed however one cannot argue with the latest results)
iii) Dorking after a slow start have started to show some of the form from the end of last year when they were safe a long way before the end of the season.
iv) Guildford, if only there were more Surrey teams so we could push Guildford lower. Don't think the club stands for what Surrey rugby is all about with their whooping and hollering.

I have highlighted your point in bold, what does a Surrey Rugby club stand for, that is different from the rest?

Below, is a quote from an interview with a current England international, and B & I Lion.   What is your opinion on what he says, remembering he is at the top of our great game.  Not playing in lowly level 5 chucking out pathetic insults Big smile

"I’m quite vocal on the pitch. The way I see it, any little advantage you can get over your opposition should be celebrated. I like to bring energy and enthusiasm and celebrate little victories. It’s so tough out there. Why wouldn’t you try and enjoy it?"

Perhaps Guildford are just trying to enjoy themselves?  If any delicate Surrey faries don't like it, then we also have a lawn bowls club you could try out...

Enough of the Sidcup and Guildford bashing. It is a bit pathetic. Reminds me of the 20 odd years during which Spurs fans would be happier if Arzenal lost than if Spurs won. (Spelling for fruit filter.)
Compared to this, the Hertford and Tring rivalry is an absolute love-in.
