Not just money in the clubs coffers, (all though it is difficult to get big gates if your club is surrounded by Premiership sides) for amateur or semi pro players job opportunities seem to be better the closer you get to the M25 area.

Hopping Mad
I have often wondered about the 2 consecutive home/2 consecutive away games but I was educated as to why quite recently
Mathematically it is impossible to fulfil the fixtures without doing so
Week 1 will have 8 teams at home and 8 away obv!
If each team alternated home/Away/home/Away etc etc then teams in the same group would never be able to play each other unless you had the consecutive 2 home/2 Away - Simples! It's the same throughout the pyramid in leagues with even numbers
That obviously gets disrupted with postponements but has to be done when the fixtures are originally scheduled to fit them into the programme
Hope that makes sense!?!?

Whilst that may be true of Midlands sides (Leicester, Coventry & Northampton) it hardly applies to the North.

Have to agree re jobs around London area, however against that accommodation costs are at least double down south - once attracted these players have to live somewhere!

That Bloke - You`re correct and I`m led to believe this system was the brainchild of Val, wife of Esher president!

Finkel -

Fact of the day - is Val's 2nd name Berger? As the Fixture Template used would be the RFU's 16 Team Home & Away Berger Matrix in fact all the RFU Fixture Template as known as Berger Tables/Matrices.

A very competive league. I remember Sandal being 3rd at Christmas 3 years ago and got relegated on 60 points.
A big injury list didn't help.

I wasn't present, but it seems that Leicester Lions are starting to knit together as a team and the win at the weekend was a sign that this new side are beginning to turn a corner at home. Looking at the league, it seems there's still a long way to go as it is still difficult to predict a winner in each game.

I ave been bullied on here by certan posters but if i ave to ask sedge who wit the biggest budgets in the league bar no why put up with such a poor pawpawe outfit I av asked many time this but speaking to sp insiders yesterday at game it seems all is not good. The coach wants away as he’d on upward plan. Players picking themselves, but worse poor management at the top wit a cull about to take place aboot time sp insides say

NR - if you have the accounts for all the sides with accurate details on their spending please publish them. Most ofus have not got a clue what our clubs really spend.

Given the fact that the league is very unpredictable to say the least what are peoples current view of the points that will be needed to avoid relegation this year. 60 has always been the benchmark but not sure this year?
