BM

I did partake though. It’s always G&T time.

Hope you are well not sure on the Port score. I think a good result for them and BP will lift my spirits. All the best to you and yours for the Christmas Season.

Anyway onwards and hopefully upwards Wharfedale at home next week. I can’t wait Christmas game and great visitors coming our way.

All the best

ST

Here Here Hookair,
We are still top of a very competative league, full of good community rugby clubs and, we are still the Club that Yogi's main sponsor wants to join (as evidenced by his recent contact).

You keep throwing money at your one and only team and enjoy your short term success Yogi, it is everything you deserve.

I think it's your main sponsor that is chasing a dream. The dream of being part of a rugby club. Time will tell.

If you are not doing anything next weekend, nip down to Brantingham Park and see what a proper rugby club does on the weekend before Xmas.

As you say, compliments of the season, to you and your other 14 members.

Sid/George
The only time I have been to Brantingham Park is on the few occasions that my club have played there over the years, otherwise I would not be seen dead in the place. It was typical of you that after sending me the seasons greetings you had to finish on a note of sarcasm.
Time will indeed tell, but not in your clubs favour. Our main sponsors will not be 'throwing money' your way.

Sorry, but I was told your club only had 15 members. I assumed you were one of the members and I wished you all 'seasons greetings'.
I take it you wont be coming next week. Pity, but I understand your club will be represented at our Presidents Charity Lunch.
Wonder who it will be?

I was at a “do” yesterday and two independent sources informed me that Sid’s team didn’t want to get promoted back to Nat 1 this season despite still being at the top of Nat 2, perhaps this second half of the season will reveal if the two sources were correct in their opinion.
I’ll be down on Saturday Sid so you can buy me that Christmas drink you have always promised, see ya 🍺

The Clue is in the title of the event i.e. Presidents Charity Lunch.
If further explanation is needed, this is a sold out Charity lunch organised and hosted by the President of the Club. All attendees, including some familiar faces, are guests of the President.

Don't you wish you were better informed?

You use the term "team".
By 'team', are you suggesting our players have got together and are deliberately losing matches? You need to be careful of what you imply.
Coming from someone who says they have no Club but simply support rugby in East Yorkshire, that is quite an insinuation. It is also another example of your bias and shows you in your true light.

I think Xmas drinks will be had with those who are a little less insulting of our players.

And he does it all by himself with no help from anyone else on your committee, particularly from yourself
considering the position you hold. Well good for him, he deserves some applause. I take my hat off to you Mr. President.  ClapThumbs Up

Nothing insinuated at all,, only repeating what I was told my old friend, so no need to get touchy, unless I have touched a nerve, as I said we will have to wait and see how results go in the New Year to see if what I was told is correct or not.
And you really should remember what you were taught at school - to read what is said carefully before answering 👨‍🎓

I don't think I am being 'touchy'.
I am just defending lads who go out and play every week and give all they have got. Sometimes they are successful, sometimes they aren't.
You can read what you like into results in the new year. I suppose if we lose a few games you will say "I told you so", to anyone that will listen.

You say you are a supporter of East Yorkshire rugby. Dont you think spreading heresay after a couple of adverse results is a strange way to show your support?

Sid once again you respond with a knee jerk response, I am sure that every one of your players goes out on a Saturday afternoon and give their all , and never once have i suggested that they don’t try and win every game they play in, as i would hope all rugby players do. However it is a fact that in certain leagues, clubs [ I’ve used that term rather than teams] at times feel that promotion to a higher level league is not appropriate at that particular stage of their development, and that they would rather stay at the same level for another season for a while. That is how the two comments made to me were interpreted, but unfortunately you have to turn what was said into a personal attack on me and my support of rugby in Yorkshire.

Delusion.
Yogi makes light of my Clubs result last Saturday. You join in with your hearsay and rumour and then you have the nerve to say I have made a personal attack on you. What do you expect after what you shared with everyone?
You really do deserve each other.

Jeez, this is almost as bad the Monty/Goal Kicker saga, although at least this doesn't require the services of a translator.
