Week 16

Bournville 46-26 Burton

Bridgnorth 17-24 Broadstreet

Nuneaton 28-33 Luctonians

Sandbach 34-29 Lichfield

Scun-thorpe 34-27 Doncaster

Sheffield 10-3 Derby

Syston 24-35 Newport

Bournville gave themselves a huge boost with a fine 6 try demolition of fellow strugglers, Burton. Bridgnorth’s promotion hopes suffered a blow when they were beaten at home by visitors Broadstreet, who’s first half dominance proved to be too much for the hosts to overcome. A tight game was on offer at Liberty Way, where the Nuneaton and Luctonians traded blows. The outcome was not decided until the final moments of the game. Another tight game was played out at Bradwell Lane where Sandbach took the spoils over their opponents Lichfield. Scun-thorpe had the bonus point in the bag by half time in their game against Doncaster and the game in the bag before taking their foot off the throttle and allowing Donny to finish well. With only one try to the hosts, an edgy game was played out between Sheffield and Derby. Newport kept in touch with leaders, Scun-thorpe with a bonus point win over improving Syston.

Congratulations to Bin Licker and Pr10r for the first full houses since week 9Star. Consequently Bin Licker leaps to the top of the table and pulls out a 2 point lead over me in second place, with FP a further 2 points behind in third Clap.
