Bournville v Sheffield AW - Sheffield's rich vein of form to continue

Bridgnorth v Scun-thorpe HW - tough call and changed my mind on several occasions

Broadstreet v Sandbach HW - good performance from Bach last week but this week will just come up short

Burton v Nuneaton HW - Burton starting to get the hang of things in this league

Derby v Newport AW - a romp on the carpet for the visitors

Doncaster v Luctonians AW - still struggling to work Donny out

Syston v Lichfield AW - could be close

Life is a game but rugby is serious!

Well Section 19 looks like your boys did under estimate Burton. Cry
Just hope we don't next week.

Well I made good with my "heart before head" prediction, but blew that advantage in my mistaken feeling that Lucs long journey would hamper them at Donny. Still with 2 draws the scoring will be low.

Bournville 12-17 Sheffield

Bridgnorth 21-21 Scun-thorpe

Broadstreet 19-19 Sandbach

Burton 44-13 Nuneaton

Derby 29-21 Newport

Doncaster 7-24 Luctonians

Syston 33-44 Lichfield

A week of missed opportunities! Sheffield scored all their points in the first half and then had to hold off the fight back from Bournville, who now find themselves dropping in to the relegation zone. Bridgnorth had a late penalty to take the spoils against Scun-thorpe and regain the top spot but were unable to split the posts with the kick in a game that ebbed and flowed and ended up with the teams sharing the spoils. A second draw in round 13 was played out at Broadstreet where visitors Sandbach were able to match the hosts. Burton dominated a lacklustre Nuneaton side with a bonus point home win. Derby pulled off the result of the day with a bonus point win over title contenders Newport who left the East Midlands with nothing to show for their efforts. Lucs recorded a straightforward bonus point win against Donny and Syston pushed Lichfield all the way despite losing.

As for the PL, you either got a bonus point or you didn’t. As a consequence Cobbler and I leapfrog over FP to take the top spot jointly. It’s all tight at the top – just like the league
