Concerned that if I make the trip to Macc that I might not get back in time for the Strictly semi-final.
But...with a guarantee that your elegant announcer will be sporting his seasonal tutu I could be persuaded. He may still be t'other side of the pond.

I'm back darling; after festive Thanks-givings in the Southern States I'm refreshed for your Worsley Ways, your Kingswinford Kisses, your Wollaston Wonderfulness. I will be sporting the red outfit with the white fur trimmings, contain yourself, I know it drives you wild .... "Whaa Hoo"!

Mrs Oliphant - I fear you`ve already missed the semi final.  It was last Saturday when you were most likely in a Huckleberryly Pearen stupor following the latest defeat for Stour!

How wonderfully badly written, uneloquent and meaningless.
Thanks for this

I’m even considering making the journey a little further north than I would normally go to watch a game of rugby. Macclesfield have a bit of momentum but you’d say on paper stour are a stronger side. The weather is heavy rain and it’s going to be very cold.

It’s a must win for both teams!

At this level, nobody really wins for too long, It is more about friendships, personalities and having fun. It isn't must win, both teams will be mid table at the end.
Whatever the result on Saturday, there will be smiles and beers, and not a smidgen of animosity...As it should be.
I think Macclesfield is a brilliant place.

That said....Parp down Wahoo, your boys are gonna take one hell of a beating.
HA HA
ps, go easy on Mrs O, I gather she was rather open in her congratulations of PGH last weekend

Well said Yorky, well except for the parp-down bit! It promises to be a noisy day, big crowd promised, including Slim and co, although they can't get in for lunch. A typical Macc sleety afternoon is promised, should sort your nancy boys out.
I will be down in April to collect several of the pints that you owe me, Seasons Greetings to you and yours.

Beers were enjoyed!
The game was played in hurricane conditions, with Stour having the wind in the second half, camped in Macc's 22 for the last 5 minutes, but the Macc Lads held on.
