From the key fixtures, I'd predict:

WP vs Medway - Medway win
Sevenoaks vs Camberley - Sevenoaks win
Camberley vs WP - Camberley win (and shut the door on WP for the year)
Medway vs Brighton - Medway win
Medway vs Camberley - Medway win

Ultra-confident then OastHouse or just flying the flag ? We agree on all but one.

Despite their form, I’m least confident about Westcombe.

Never an easy place to go, big partisan crowd, and facilities than throw away teams off.

Whoever goes up this season they had better be prepared because if you look at the current table you'll see CS RUGBY are currently 4th from bottom having played 9 and lost six of them!!

Some sage advice for Havant for the 2030/31 season.

Been a good few years since I played there, in fairness.

Though I shall be there as a spectator Saturday week, hopefully to watch Medway romp to victory.

We moved to new facilites in 1990 so guess it was before then ? Hope your concerns/worries come to fruition.
Not sure at present whether I shall be there but if so will have to meet up.

Having noted Stockport's victory over Douglas IOM I found it interesting to look at the table now that every team has played 9 games.

Carlisle aren't quite as far ahead now and there are a large number of teams still capable of filling the top two slots. Whether any of these teams are capable of survival in Nat 3 is anyone's guess but I suggest that there could be some interesting and ( hopefully) entertaining contests as the season progresses.

Any thoughts on the final top 2 ? I think the two holding the slots at the moment could well be there at the end but others who have seen more teams play may be able to offer a more objective assessment?

Good luck to everyone as the relegation places are also pretty tight with the possible exception of De la Salle.

Totts vs Havant

So i thought i would go & watch Friday night under lights.
Hampshire Cup  on Havant's new Pitch.I must say it looked fantastic a great asset.

Wind was blowing & it was chucking it down just what both teams like Big smile

Totts outplayed hav in all areas & kept the ball well with a robust defence.
Havant managed a late score when Totts were down to 13, 2 warranted yellow cards fairly late on.

HT 3-17
FT 8-22

That was possibly the poorest Havant team i have seen in the last 30 odd years & i now see why they have not been playing well. I was actually shocked because  Totts have been poor all year the only thing that has kept them in games is a good defence.

Looked at the team sheets & this was pretty much the same Havant team as 12 months ago..a few missing but the same core team.

Agree with everything you said Gareth
It was the strongest team we've had out all season and i was expecting great things to be honest but we were outplayed for the whole game and we were all left scratching our heads by our performance, it was very very poor and Totts took full advantage and thoroughly deserved the win

I think that is the first time we have actually won at Hooks Lane also.

On another subject, can anyone shed light on the apparent disparities for penalising players for red card offences between County RFU disciplinary panels? How can the same offence in the same game attract a different punishment from adjacent Counties for the two players involved? Any clues as to why that may be the case would be appreciated, or do I retreat behind a Will Carling analogy?

Big smile We wont fall for that you will have had another month on the pitch.

Totts train on one when the weather is bad so are pretty used to it.

Don't think you'll get much of a response until you shed more light on the matter such as the more specific natures of the red cards. Am thinking along the lines of the first may have been for punching but the second a retaliatory number of punches rather than just one. May be something the RFU should investigate if you want to take it that far but best of luck with that one as they're unlikely even to understand the question let alone answer it.🙉

I'll take an early punt on the week's results:

Chobham vs Chichester - Chichester win.  Chobham seem to be sliding into the mire.
Cobham vs Havant - Cobham win.  Cobham a solid team, and Havant showing no signs of arresting their current issues.
Hove vs Dartfordians - Dartfordians win.  Hard to back Hove at any point.
Cornish vs Thurrock - Cornish win.  Cornish good at home, and Thurrock don't look great anywhere.
Sevenoaks vs Camberley.  One of two crackers for the week.  Sevenoaks to win it at home.
Totts vs Brighton.  Brighton win, but will be close.  Totts sounds half decent, and that pitch will slow down Brighton's game as well.
WP vs Medway.  The other game of the weekend.  Medway to win, and pull the top four trapdoor up behind them.

Chobham vs Chichester - Home win because I haven't got a clue.

Cobham vs Havant - Another home win as Havant not firing as anticipated.

Hove vs Dartfordians - Darts for me as it seems Hove are struggling for form and confidence.

Cornish vs Thurrock - Cornish to win as new signings begin to gel.

Sevenoaks vs Camberley. MOTD and am expecting a hig scoring narrow victory for Oaks.

Totts vs Brighton.  Brighton to win but only if they get into Totts early and don't get distracted by the Wag of the week.

COMBE vs Medway.  Top of the undercard of games this weekend. OastHouse has already announced a slight lack of confidence and I expect to easily spot him on Saturday - He'll be the one wearing bicycle clips. An absolutely must win game for Medway - Can Combe crank up the pressure on them ? Can Combe get another win before Xmas and therefore be the first to beat them ?
OR,
Will Medway steamroll over Combe like they have done thus far to others ? Am sure the rest of the gang of four will be keeping an eye out for the result, and maybe, dare I say, routing for Combe ? I am sticking my neck out and going for a narrow home win.
.
Ranger.
