Thurrock have the option to not level transfer as they were in L1S for the last two seasons.

In the first instance all clubs in L1N will be "invited" to transfer to L1S, if no one comes forward, then the LSE RFU will work it out on the clubs with the least mileage to all games if they were to move.

Any club can volunteer.
However, I suspect it Shelford volunteered it might be declined.

I doubt there will be any volunteers, as I believe the London 1 South is a more competitive league, and so the RFU would likely have to look at the geographical proximity of the Lon 1 N sides.  From a quick look I reckon it will be 2 from H.A.C, Old Priorians and Eton Manor.  I think Thurrock will be asked to remain in in London 1 S.

I'm thinking Thurrock will ask to stay in L1S, so the other two to go south of the river are HAC and Belsize Park. If Thurrock stay norf, Old Priorians will probably go as well.

Does anyone know how long we have to wait for all these level transfers to be decided upon by the RFU ?

Depends if there are any appeals to be heard in your particular region, all of which is a purely pointless exercise as I don't think any appeal has ever been upheld since the introduction of Level Transfers
Fixtures usually out End May/Early June - delayed a few weeks if there is an appeal

The joke is that being the most northern club in L1N, if they volunteered to go south then every club in L1S would have to get travel expenses for it. Something, which with the RFU wanting to cut costs, would cause the RFU's financial department to have a fit if it ever went through.

Could save themselves a lot of money by moving north walsham into a midlands league.
