He literally would have destroyed it. It is around now, if he had held out and it had been liquidated it wouldn't have been.

Thankfully he doesn't bother to read things himself though and the club carries on.  If you want the club killed you are not a fan of it and not a fan of rugby. This bloodlust on this forum is very ugly. Though I recognise a lot of that is because the rules make the punishments effectively death or nothing, so Leeds have certainly got off lightly.  The alternative though was the death penalty, which is far too harsh.

Of course he wouldn't have literally destroyed it. Just because you type something it doesn't mean it is true. . If you really want to use that childish logic the club would be destroyed by the person who signed the liquidation papers.

And of course I haven't said I want the club "killed".

Pick the bones out of this....

Yorkshire Carnegie Director of Rugby Martyn Wood and Head Coach Joe Ford have named their side to face Nottingham Rugby on Friday night in the opening game of the Championship Cup.

Following the CVA in the summer, the side includes 23 debutants. Hooker Louis Musetti, who has previously played at Northumbria University, will get the chance to impress in the starting line up after joining the club on trial whilst the squad has been strengthened with the arrival of loan signings James Seabrook (Wasps), Mike Williams (Bath), Taylor Gough (Leicester) and Guy Graham (Newcastle).

Former England international Tom Varndell makes his first appearance for the club in a backline that also includes ex-Leeds Rhinos Rugby League player Lee Smith with youngster Dan Lancaster, who gets the opportunity to start at fly half having come through the club’s academy structure.

The squad in full is:

15. Tim Bitirim 14. Andrew Lawson 13. Lee Smith 12. James Robins 11. Tom Varndell 10. Dan Lancaster 9. James Elliott

1. James Flynn 2. Louis Musetti 3. Conor Davidson 4. Ed Bloodworth 5. Alex Humfrey 6. Will Hill 7. James Seabrook 8. Callum Bustin

16. Ben Sugars 17. Cole Wilson 18. Will Archer 19. Mike Williams 20. Taylor Gough 21. Guy Graham 22. Joe Green 23. Joe Carlisle

15 Tim Bitirim joined Coventry at the start of Summer 2018 as a winger. By the end of the pre-season it became clear he wouldn’t get a regular place, so he upped and left and went to study at Loughborough Uni. Of course he may have improved in twelve months.

I thought the Championship clubs were limited to 22 players, has that recently changed?

Alex Humfrey played for Richmond I think the season before last. I think he went to America shortly after Christmas that season.

It's Guy Graham at Leeds, Gary Graham is the one who plays for Scotland/Falcons - they're brothers

I would think that the home clubs of these players were rather they were playing matches than twiddling their thumbs. Probably Leeds is getting them for nothing.

I agree with this although the downside of lending a player for a cup match is he becomes cup tied:
6.3 A Club may not be represented in the Competition by any person who has played or been a replacement or substitute (i.e. included in the match squad) for another Club in the Competition in the current season.

If that young lad is anywhere near as good as his brother Gary he could make a real impact off the bench. I hope its a great game and a good contest.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

So in theory the player could play as a DR or loan player and play in the Championship cup, but still be available for the Premiership equivalent as they are different competitions?

Think you are right as Bath have said Williams will be back with them on Monday . It may be he is on the bench to hopefully ensure he doesn't get injured and will only have a run out towards the end
