Bristol 2nd row Joe Batley has been diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma, a tumor affecting the lymphatic system.

Joe will undergo 3-6 months of chemotherapy.

This is a great shock for all involved with the club and I wish him all the best in his recovery and hope that he will return to rugby in the future.

Best of luck Joe

Joe is a Hartpury old boy and played for Hartpury RFC as recently as the 2016-17 season, in National 1.

Needless to say, everybody at the club is thrilled to hear this good news regarding his condition and we very much hope to see him back on a rugby field as soon as his recuperation allows.

Clap
