My answer would include predominantly the National side somewhere but its not a given option so not sure what to tick to represent that view ?

What a poorly constructed poll. I'll answer 8) None of the above. The only message that anything based on this poll is likely to send is a clear bias from its creator, rendering it meaningless. What makes you think that the first six options are mutually exclusive or that the seven options provided cover every possible view Big Eddie?

Phew - why not come up with an alternative approach R and D and help stimulate rather than stifle debate?

RoD,

you are right I have a clear view, and I do appreciate that there are many interest groups under the auspices of the RFU. however the question I am asking is which of the options given do you consider the RFU prioritise.

My own view is that it is the Premiership.........others may say the RFU Management prioritise their own interests above all others...........and more even handed respondents may believe the RFU fairly prioritise resources across all interested groups.

I am not saying this is scientific or unbiased............but if everyone believes the RFU is fit for purpose I expect they will vote for the last option.

Just my own opinion but I suspect few people will vote for the last option or anything other than the Premiership, themselves or the national sides

I don't have anywhere near enough inside knowledge to answer the question with any degree of certainty. Approaching it from a common sense point of view, I would like to think that the answer is the national side.

The RFU are a business and the national side are their main revenue stream. I would be upset with any business that doesn't focus primarily on its main revenue stream. Everything else listed relies on said revenue stream in order to function.

From a rugby perspective, the national side is the pinnacle of the English game, so should be the main focus with everything else structured in order to give it the best chance of success. Unfortunately history gets in the way of this.

16 votes and 8 responses (ironically, three of which are mine) rather proves my point. Debate has been stifled by the structure of the original question and the fact that it is part of a series of cross posts. What is your answer, or did I stifle you?!?
