As has been mentioned earlier in the thread, a key indicator at this level concerns English-qualified players. These individuals may not be English per se, but they qualify to play for England through factors such as blood-lines, place-of-birth, residency etc. Central funding from 'HQ' to clubs is dependent on including a minimum number of EQPs in a match-day squad, averaged out each month.

I don't know where Ealing stand on EQP, but I would have thought that some of the 16 'foreigners' listed may well be EQP...

I don't have Jersey's exact numbers to hands, but in recent seasons we have only had approx half a dozen players who weren't EQP.

Peter Lydon surely qualifies as English as he has two English-born parents?

Yes, that would definitely make Lydon EQP.

I think his consecutive spells at Scottish and Ealing would also qualify him on residency grounds.

Yes, thanks to 3 year residency, I'd be surprised if many players (Durutalo, Shingler due to caps) and Elijah Niko (lured over by Yorkshire recently) aren't EQP.
