Today's match was very much Premiership v Championship

And whilst the Championship lost 35-3 I think the Championship can hold there heads up high

Many more Championship players to watch during the competition

Agreed - except that many England players also spent time in the Championship. I'd be interested to see if anyone had a list of players in this world cup who have spent time in the Championship.

Lewis Ludlam (England) played for Rotherham as a DR for several games, as did Chris Harris (Scotland) and Santi Socino (Argentina). Vereneki Goneva (Fiji) was with us before heading up to Newcastle and last season Conor Keys(Canada) was playing for us in National 1 and working in Rotherham primary schools on our Community programme .
Think that’s it for this RWC though I’m sure if I’ve missed any, other Rotherham supporters will put me right....

Sam Matavesi, Fiji hooker, still on the books at the Pirates. Cornish born to a Fijian father. His brother starts at 10 for Fiji tomorrow, I think he’s on the Falcons books.

Cory Hill got back on track with us. Not a lot of people remember that (outside B13) but he signed for Moseley when no one else wanted him. Kevin Maggs had pulling power

I've not really studied the teams/players as I'm really not all that fussed about international rugby.
However, I do know David Halaifonua and Dan Faleafa played for Tonga at the weekend (the latter was released at the end of last season though).
Also, Ludlam was with Cov a few years back until he broke a leg. DR though, so that doesn't really count.

Bedford have Will Hooley in the USA squad (starting at full back against England). Justin Blanchet was released at the end of last season after several seasons here and has managed to force his way into the Canada squad. Ali Price and Duncan Taylor both came through our academy before playing for the first team, now with Scotland. Courtney Lawes also came through our academy. Dan Cole, George Kruis and Owen Farrell all featured for us as DRs. I think that’s everybody!

Ealing can count Sinkler, Landry and Magie. I think that's it.

He certainly made an impact.
That's easy for you to say.

I love the irony that it was that sort of tackle on Owen Farrell that received the red card.

Piers Francis did at least attempt to wrap his arms.
Admittedly, he was wrapping around the shoulders.

I do hope Will recovers - though as he was concussed he is presumably out a numbeer of weeks.

If Hooley was concussed in the challenge, why did he play the full 80 minutes?  I only saw the highlights, but he didn't appear to be affected at the time, although presumably he could have been checked later. after the coaches had seen the replays.
