U-20 World Cup doesn't appear to have any coverage on UK TV. Been on sky for the past few years, usually a good watch.

Anyone know if it is hiding away anywhere or why not?

The England Rugby page on Facebook streamed the first game against Argentina live but I didn't see them do the same for the game against Italy.

I was fortunate enough to be at the game as we have a summer home down near Beziers. The French deserved to win as their defence absolutely killed our attacking game. Until we brought on 22 (James Grayson), 23, and the other 9, when all was lost I might add. They should all have started IMO as they speeded things up massively. The ground was sold out, and the atmosphere was quite unbelievable. The French public get behind their teams in a way that is totally different (and better) than us I'm afraid. It was mad!

Agree with FC that French deserved it; one might also mention the poor English discipline that allowed the French to regularly pop over penalties to keep the scoreboard moving - this includes several scrum penalties conceded by a pack that couldn't compete in that phase. England showed flashes of potential in attack, but couldn't turn that into points, and also missed a couple of kicks that could have kept us just about in touch. Still, beating SA and getting to the final isn't a bad effort overall - a crumb of optimism to balance the gloomy mood around the England 1st XV. TV coverage showed a noisy partisan crowd enjoying a fine sunny evening and the sight of their boys beating the 'Ros-bifs'... for a Frenchman, what wasn't to like?

I thought the wonderkid Marcus Smith had a poor game. Loads of possession but he kept sending runners into contact, not gaps. His tactical kicking was poor as well.
The whole tournament England had used their back three to devastating effect with the ball in hand but changed the game plan for the final for some reason.

Seems like both England sides over weekend had issue with their penalty count!!

As it's a world cup would it have not been better for Tom Curry & Nick Isiekwe to play for England at this so we potential win more events? There are many senior tours they can be part of...as power upfront cost the U20's.....especially Nick who has had only 34 minutes so far in S Africa.

I do not understand the rush to get teenagers into the senior England side. I have long thought that any "of age" player should play in the U20 World Cup. There is no situation I can see that England are so short of players or a teenager being indispensable to the senior England side ( quite the reverse for the U20 side though ! ) that would justify picking them. Let them grow up and play and enjoy being in the spotlight for a while.
As you say there are plenty of opportunities once they turn 21.

I would have put the whole side on a plane to SA Sunday night and tell the senior squad that if that all places on Saturday are up for reslection. If only to put a rocket up their collective fat backs.

That could be construed as infanticide!
