Well, all of 18-19 is now in the books. I was wondering how people thought their teams did?

I would give Ealing a B for the year. They achieved their highest ever league points total and won the cup, but I thought that they also dropped a couple of games that they should have or could have won. In particular the Richmond loss is galling, and their display at Goldington Road lacked heart and focus. I feel like this was the year to push for promotion, and Newcastle will be a harder test next year. Still, the chemistry that they created by the end of the season was fantastic, and their late seadon wins against Cov, Blues, and Jersey were magnificent.

I think that is a bit harsh on your team. If I remember correctly, you shattered the points record for a promoted club.

Nottingham 10 out of 10

Based on a new untried Head Coach a young squad partly made up of 10 Nottingham Trent Uni players,  a very low budget ( don't think we signed a full time player in the whole season) and as usual a number of  players lost to the premiership . We have been doing this for many years but a lot of the regular supporters were very worried at the start of this year that this could be the year we blew up , many congratulations to Neil Fowkes and his team and the Board and the volunteers who keep the club ticking over

Can’t complain too much as a Bedford fan. 3rd was always going to be the max we could achieve and I thought we’d struggle a bit this season as I thought, with the exception of Flanagan, our new signings were not of the calibre of those leaving. In particular, I thought Booj would leave a huge void.

Like all teams, we lost a couple of games we should’ve won and had a couple of very disappointing performances (quarter final of cup against Leeds springs to mind). Especially considering we were without a recognised fly half for large chunks of the season, all in all a very good season. Highlights being winning away at Pirates, home to Ealing and the crazy win against Coventry. Lowlights the capitulation at home to Leeds and the home game against Scottish all our players were ill for.

Most importantly, we’ve been treated to our trademark thrilling rugby and matches, including the (I think) 53-52 Coventry win and 45-44 Leeds loss.

Donny have had a poor season, yes we can roll out the excuse, injuries. But at the end of the day we were second best most of the season, the table doesnt lie.

Bring on next year.

London Irish 8/10. We did the job, which was all that mattered. Considering I didn't think the squad was as strong as the last time we were in the Championship we did well to secure promotion ahead of a strong Ealing side. It was also pleasing to see the development of a number of players who can form the core of a side next season: Hoskins, Tuisue, Rogerson, Meehan, Hepetema, Stephenson, Loader and Veitokani. However, we had a number of close shaves and it was disappointing that we didn't look more up for the Cup final. All in all, an enjoyable season.

LS 5/10 - A fair bit of cash spent on incoming players but I felt that the budget would've been better used spread out across the squad not on 1/2 players. Losing to Richmond last game of the season probably influenced this view......
Unless there is some big recruitment ahead, I could see us slipping into National One next term.
