If explanations are your thing, maybe you could explain when / where I said that Cornwall don't have a chance. I correctly predicted that a number of last year's star performers would be missing and that Cornwall's chances would be diminished (not non-existent) as a result.

I'd be amazed if anyone needs an explanation as to why losing Marriot, Hilton, Matavesi, Stupple, Cowan Dickie and Searle would weaken a side!

Exactly. In recent years it has looked exceedingly strong. Marriot, Hilton, Matavesi, Stupple, Cowan Dickie and Searle were all star performers last year, all missing this year, that's a lot of quality and experience to replace. IIRC an article I read yesterday said that only 8 of the XXIII that won at Twickenham will be involved tomorrow!

According to the link the the Trelawny's Army that ruckingred has posted, Cornwall's substitute hooker will be a prop!

To be fair, I did, I had to Google his name to confirm. Why isn't he wearing the 16 shirt? As confusing as watching Redruth play!

Sorry RoD, misinterpreted your outlook on the Cornwalls"diminished"campaign this season, perhaps you could tell me what qualities/skill set the players are lacking in, that are stepping into the star players boots ? I'm sure Fuca,Elderkin,Jones,Brown etc would love to her it. Pop down to training on Tuesday and share your views.

I'll wait for the proof of the pudding and will very happily admit to making an incorrect prediction (shock horror - someone on a discussion forum getting a prediction wrong) if Cornwall manage a 3-peat.

Who's bitter? You're right of course, all players mentioned are of equal ability, it must be a lucky coincidence that those who are unavailable were selected ahead of others in the past!

That's a subjective term, to my recollection, there have been what I would term star performers in all of the sides that I've seen make the final.
