It’s with immediate effect as well Nick

Is that a fact? We were discussing the wording of the announcements earlier on, as it sounded that way.
It'll be interesting to see if he's in the mix for Saturday.

A brace of new locks heading to Jersey this summer (as in June, not the rather bizarre weather we're currently experiencing)

I gather he's been injured - perhaps that's why they're prepared to release him early?

I'm only surmising Kimbo, going by the Doncaster site that says:

'The Coventry-born player made seven appearances this season, however suffered a hand injury in Doncaster's win at Hartpury last month'.

Well, as predicted earlier in this thread and elsewhere, Ben Palmer has been released.
Glad he's staying in Cov though, and should thrive with 'street.
Ideal move for him.

Lennon (9), Curry (6) & Robling (12) re-sign.

Ben Cooper (3) to Bury St Edmunds as a player coach.  He will be destroying a lot of scrums in ND2 South.

Does that mean he teams up with Ben Cooper (II) again?
That always causes confusion, especially whe one replaces the other.

And congrats to Ben Hunter, who used to pack between them.

Coventry prop Charlie Beech to Doncaster on a two-year contract.
We didn't lose the game; we just ran out of time

That's the expected move confirmed. It'll suit him much better than commuting to the Midlands.

Back row Matt Bolwell has agreed a new 2 year deal and Wing Alex O'Meara a 1 year deal to remain at the Cornish Pirates.
17 of this years squad have now re-signed with the majority on 2 year deals.

Jordy Reid has re-signed for Ealing. A bit surprised by this as he was heavily tipped to be going to Saracens. Possibly recent injuries put off Sarries, or potentially Ealing is just looking to ensure that they get compensation.

Nottingham's number 8, Josh Poullet, signs on for another year.

Wow thats a relief . Jordy is the real deal and is great asset to the Ealing Trailfinders team.
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

I heard on Egg Chasers today that Nic Rouse has been let go by London Scottish. I thought that he was doing a creditable job this year. Lack of continuity can't be doing anything good for Scottish.

...and Pat Howard has been re-signed for a year by Ealing. I did hear from one of the players at the weekend that this year there is an expectation that the vast majority of players will be re-signed, with just a few (hopefully) big name signings and some backfill. Pat Howard looked brilliant early on in the season, but he took a knock and lately seems to have fallen out of favour.
