Obviously nobody from Partpury is going to mention it, so, Jack Preece moves from Cov to there.
Guess he fancies the prospect of getting to know a new team most weeks.
However, good luck to him. Jack was a star last season, but badly hampered by injuries this time.

Nothing unusual there

There is massively more continuity this season than last. I just took half an hour to tot things up at Ealing for next year:

Current squad returning: 25
Current Squad No Info: 16
Current Squad Out: 2

New Signings: 9

So that gives a squad right now of 34. I'm guessing we'll carry 44 people, so that means 10 re-signs or new signings.

Not done very well as asst coach at the Rhinos, won't be sorry to see him go

In what respect ? are you talking about Rhinos results . Does he have a speciality like defence or attack ? is he a forwards coach or backs ?

There is very little on him that I can find.
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

He was a nuggety little s***house as a player in RL. He first came to coach Tykes/Carnegie after Diccon Edwards was given the push. Some supporters liked him as we played adventurous, attacking rugby (helped by Craig Hampson coming into his own as a 9). But we leaked nearly as many as we scored. So if anything I would say his strength is with the attack, but I confess I was surprised when this appointment was announced. Lager sales will flourish.
That's easy for you to say.

My son was at Leeds under James Lowes and he had good things to say about his abilities as a skills coach.

The Pirates have signed scrum half Rhodri Davies on a 2yr contract from PRO 14 side Dragons.
Championship fans may remember him from his time playing at Rotherham, he certainly impressed against the Pirates when he scored a hat trick at the Mennaye in a high scoring game.

We've known about Dave McKern moving to ET for a while and I know that it was a really difficult decision for him, but at the end of the day he needs to do what is right for him and his family and salary is a huge part of that.
He leaves on the back of his best season for the Reds (IMHO) and is one of the best line out players in the division.
Best of luck to him and we look forward to welcoming him back next season or watching him on the telly!!

Ben Ward was quoted in today's TRP as saying that Joe Ford is signed for Ealing next year. Unless this is a misquote, Craig Willis' departure makes a lot more sense.

With London Irish playing at Brentford. If promoted where would Ealing play?

I question the wisdom of signing three 10s who will all expect to be first choice. I don't think it worked particularly well this season.

I second this. Ealing has played better in the last couple of months (trying to forget the bizarre loss to Richmond) by settling on a solid, consistent partnership at 9 and 10 between Willis and Burns. Signing a bunch of 9s and 10s again will create a "rats in a sack" mentality for the first few months again.
