Looks like we are welcoming you to The Old Showground at Newport on Saturday.  The bar will be open so supporters/camp followers are also very welcome!

A league that can produce random results, with new entrants along with existing clubs who have bolstered up their playing resources, makes it very difficult to predict anything at this early stage, I think.

Nothing like sitting on the fence. I will put kiss of death on Bourneville and Broadstreet as promotion candidates with the other B Burton as dark horses.

Bville must fancy it. Many signings, their squad needs to gel but they have home advantage with plastic
Bstreet going well at end of last season and were telling me they were going to have a push this season. Could have been beer talk?
Maybe you can let me know about Burtons chances after tomorrows joust before I get down to the bookies.

Cov's Paul Wells, Sam McNulty, Shaun Allsopp, George Parker and Ed Amoako will all be at Broadstreet in the coming season.
Harry Charter and Morgan Dayes will be at Bedford Athletic.
Cameron Sharpe, Ed Prowse and Archie Strath will play for Kettering.

I'll be surprised if Broadstreet mount a serious challenge - lost their 3 best players to Moseley in the summer
Kimbo, I assume all those you list from Cov are from their academy as players registered with the senior squad cannot go on loan from Level 2 to Level 5 (or have Cov ditched them and they've signed elsewhere?)

Newport 36 Burton 33
A few chunterings when Newport opted to kick a long range penalty with last play of the game to win it. Practice game only but a win is a win!
Newport first practice game, Burton's third - not sure what you read into that but may be one of the reasons the visitors raced into a 0-19 lead after ten minutes. Strong wind straight down the slope also played its part and never quite sure how many personnel were missing or when each side had its strongest combination on the pitch
Good workout with both teams having a squad of 20odd - some excellent rugby (sprinkled with a bit of poor stuff) but only what can be expected in August
Good luck to both teams who hopefully should do well again in Mids Prem
