I get on quite well with the Clifton contingent but you seem to have a chip on your shoulder about them, have they offended you in any way?

The chip is not on my shoulder it's on Clifton's !! They believe they are above the other clubs still in the Bristol area, only Old Reds have less than a facility than them  but they are a real rugby club with a real club ethos and welcome people to their club as they did me 2 or 3 times last season. The other is Dings, enough said there as the facilities are 2nd to none along with their sterling supporters.

My insider knowledge is nothing more than a couple of people I know gossiping too much !!

I'm sure the info I pick up on is pretty much on the mark and listening to them a top 4 place is the minimum target.

Sorry for sharing my thoughts on here, I was led to believe a forum allowed you to do just that.

Gents is it time you were reminded that this is "signings and departures" thread ??

Whilst mildly amusing, shall we all move on and look forward to the new season ahead on Saturday and see how it unfolds ?

Either way this is the wrong thread, so start a new one please if you wish to bicker !

Every time I log on, I see unread messages on the signings and click in the hope Vunipola is coming to play under the Dome in Sheffield LOL

National Leagues worst kept secret - Matt Walsh is to start at 9 for Tonbridge Juddians alongside Will Robinson tomorrow. I remember Will well from when he was on loan to Hawks a few years back. Outstanding goal kicker. Based on current form this will be the best half back partnership in the league.

Will Robinson was awesome in the N2S decider (Henley v Worthing) when both sides were promoted to N1.

Since then he seems to have featured at a number of clubs, based on last season he isn't the player he was but as you say easily the best halfback partnership at this level.

any news on Hulls signings and departures? Had some quality players last year when I saw them play but appear to have lost a few, no mention anywhere of where to though?

Hi JJC

Darren Lloyd here. Not sure who you are but I would like to invite you to CRFC next Saturday to enjoy a pre match lunch as my guest.  Maybe we can eat a few of those chips !

I Look forward to meeting you if you are available.

Regards

Darren

No thanks, I will be driving along the M4 to my sisters so likely to watch Henley v Bournemouth.

I hear that the local derby was stacked in your favour on Saturday, fairly even in the pack and the better backs taking their chances well.

I may take you up on the offer another time Wink

Fraser Wem, Scotland U18 lock joins from Richmond
Patrick Calvert, Cambridge Blue hooker, teacher at Whitgift (spot the connection!)
Cameron Wilkins, flanker from Loughborough University (played Tigers A League last season)
Xavier Valentine, prop on loan from London Scottish (Leeds Beckett in BUCS Final last season)

More to come! Pre-season training starts next Tuesday.
Here you've also got Josh Clarke, a fly half from Chobham and ex Wild Geese.

Not a Wild Geese player anyway.

The Recruitment Head didn't know his name when I mentioned it on Saturday, however, he may be one of many surprises joining pre-season training when it starts tonight.
I see Josh Clarke played full back for Esher on Saturday against Dings centre Matt Smith, another ex Chob boy (as well as their physio Ellen whose just moved to the West Country)
Rucks and mauls may bust my balls, but whips and chains excite me!!

I have just seen this on another thread? Seems all is not well at Raiders.

I believe they haven’t fulfilled a 2XV fixture this year either?
