Or maybe they will be planning on how to make the most of a mini tour.

Given the RFU's abysmal travel funding for the Guernsey fixture I would think most club committees are on suicide watch.

What have you heard Tyke.  I've seen nothing official from the NCA.

Isn’t that what it’s always been?
Rucks and mauls may bust my balls, but whips and chains excite me!!

What do you  expect from the cash rich RFU. How many in the Tour Party in SA?  No one is in economy, Plus the Lap top Boys and water carriers, Coaches, Gurus for every facet of the game. Oh yes and the coach for putting the ball in straight at the so called scrum, which means they must have a re set coach.
The list goes on and on. And we must not forget the Blazers. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Time for Rioja.

I have a very simple plan to resolve funding in Nat 1-2 Travel. According to Daily Telegraph today £ 30 million has been set aside for prep and world cup costs including players fees and the hangers on. After  todays performance  , I think we should not bother to go to Japan next year Save a fortune and fund all the clubs travel at our level. Nat 1-2 plus many many  junior programmes
I do not wish to be mean to the players who do their best but they are clearly Knackered and are now no longer competitive.
I rest my case.

Old Hooker, how’s business? I’m worried that a busy publican has time to post in the middle of a Saturday evening! Oh, but I do agree with you to some extent. You can’t make as many mistakes as that or give away such stupid penalties as Mako Vuniopola and Nathan Hughes did.

Delighted to hear that you've finally been put out to grass, Old Hooker! Enjoy plenty of wine!
Good luck to Raiders as well, I'll try and get to you for a match, although I have no driver any more Cry .

Last season, squad plus 3 for playing Guernsey = 21. RFU, in their wisdom, have deemed to fund the same number to travel. Doesn't the NCA need to get out there and lobby hard on behalf of the clubs they represent?

Out of interest, what funding is there for those playing Jersey in the Championship?

None, apart from the several £100k each Championship club gets handed to them every year of course Wink

Last season in London Premier was squad plus 1 = 19

incorrect, Last season Guernsey were in London Premier and the RFU funded squad plus 1 = 19, this season in Nat 2 it appears that squad plus 1 funding also applies  = 21

NCA has lobbied and the CGB at the RFU successfully fought against a big cut to the travel budget for NCA clubs. The budget was set at the same level as last season but has to include increased travel costs to Guernsey.
